JAYAPURA - Paniai Police are investigating the case of burning the Yakotamo District office located in Epoto Village, Paniai Regency, Papua.

"It's true that this afternoon at around 14.00 WIT, the Yatamo District office in Paniai Regency was burned down," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in a written statement, Wednesday, July 13.

Police are still investigating the mastermind behind the burning of the district office.

"It is still being investigated who carried out the arson, and what the motive is is being investigated by the Paniai Police Criminal Investigation Unit investigators by looking for witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene," he said.

The burning of the district office was only reported at 2:45 p.m. WIT by a family from Yatamo District to the Paniai Police. Received the report members immediately moved to the location.
