SALATIGA – Salatiga Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Indra Mardiyana explained about cases of sexual abuse of minors in Dayaan, Sidorejo Kidul, Tingkir, Salatiga City. According to Indra, the 14-year-old girl victim was stripped of her clothes and then bathed in flower water. According to information, the ritual was carried out so that the victim could win a science competition.

TAW (47) is a resident of Dayaan, Sidorejo Kidul, Tingkir, Salatiga City. His profession is as a massage therapist. But when he was trusted by the victim's parents to perform a ritual to win the science competition, TAW actually took advantage of the moment to commit immorality.

AKBP Indra detailed that TAW's actions were carried out on May 30, 2022, when the victim and his mother visited his house in Dayaan, Sidorejo Kidul, Tingkir, Salatiga City. They came to TAW's house so that the victim would undergo massage therapy as well as ask for prayers from the perpetrator so that the victim could become a champion of the science competition.

“Furthermore, the victim was told to enter the massage room by the perpetrator and asked to take off his clothes and was told to wear a sarong. At that time the victim asked to be accompanied by his mother, but the perpetrator refused, "said AKBP Indra.

In the room, he continued, the victim was told to sleep on his back and close his eyes. The perpetrator then pulled the sarong worn by the victim so that he was naked. Not long after, the perpetrator then committed an immoral act to the victim for approximately two minutes.

"Furthermore, when the victim was still naked, the perpetrator bathed the victim by pouring flower water," said Indra.

The police chief also said that the suspect did this in exchange for the victim to win the science competition by means of massage and flower baths.

“After taking a bath, the victim was told to dress again and then go home with his mother. But when he got home, the victim told his mother about what had happened. Because she did not accept the perpetrator's actions, the victim's mother reported the incident to the Central Java Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI), which was forwarded to the Salatiga Police," he continued.

Based on the report, continued the Police Chief, the Salatiga Police Satreskrim officers followed up by conducting a series of intensive investigations and examinations. As a result, the officers found sufficient preliminary evidence and named the suspect TAW as a suspected child molester.

Indra said, there was only one victim who reported TAW's obscene act. Investigators are still exploring the possibility of other victims having the same fate as Bunga.

"Investigators are still investigating, because with this method, there could be more victims. This is being investigated," he said.
