Two ACT Officials Again Examined About Alleged Misappropriation Of Aid Funds For Lion Air JT-610 Victims

JAKARTA - Two high-ranking officials of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) charity foundation, Ahyudin and Ibnu Khajar, will undergo further investigations at the National Police-Criminal Investigation Unit today. They will be questioned about the alleged misappropriation of funds or donations.

"(Inspection, red) Like yesterday at around 10 am," said Head of Sub-Directorate 4 of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police-Criminal Investigation Department, Kombes Andri Sudarmaji when confirmed, Monday, July 11.

Apart from Ahyudin and Ibn Khajar, the Criminal Investigation Department will also ask for information from the operational manager and the finance department of the charitable foundation. So, for today there are four people who will be clarified regarding ACT.

"(Inspection, red) Today includes the operational manager and the finance department," said Andri.

If Ahyudin and Ibn Khajar were present at the examination, it would be the second time they had been questioned. This is because the two ACT officials were originally questioned on 8 July.

However, the inspection is not yet complete. So, it was decided to postpone and continue today.

Former ACT President Ahyudin finished undergoing a temporary examination on Friday, July 8. About 12 hours he was questioned about the legality of the charitable foundation.

"If I'm not mistaken, today there are 22 questions. Questions are still about legal foundations, duties, responsibilities like that," said Ahyudin.

Meanwhile, Ibn Khajar who was also questioned on the same day did not give any information to the media. He seemed to have disappeared and avoided reporters.

For information, the Bareskrim Polri investigated the alleged misappropriation of aid funds by the management of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation to be distributed to the heirs of the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash that occurred in 2018.

The misappropriation of social funds originating from the Boeing aircraft factory was allegedly carried out by ACT management, namely former ACT President Ahyudin and ACT President Ibnu Khajar.

Both are suspected of misusing some of the social funds for their personal interests in the form of paying salaries and personal facilities.

"That the management of the ACT Foundation, in this case, Mr. Ahyudin as the founder and chairman of the board and supervisor and Mr. Ibnu Khajar as the chairman of the board, alleged that some of the social funds from Boeing were misappropriating for their own personal interests," said Karopenmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan.
