JAKARTA – The circulation of drugs in Boncos Village, Palmerah, West Jakarta, does not seem to have stopped. The police repeatedly raided the location, but there were still dealers and drug users on the loose.

Recently, the Palmerah Police revealed a new strategy for drug dealers and users in Boncos Village to avoid ambushes. During the raid, CCTV was found hidden in one of the houses in Boncos Village.

"This is a new finding, later we will explore where the centralized camera is," said Head of Palmerah Police, West Jakarta, AKP Dodi Abdulrohim when met at the location of the Kampung Boncos raid on Wednesday.

The CCTV camera was found by the police during a raid in Boncos Village on Wednesday, July 6, afternoon.

When the police raided a rented house suspected of being occupied by a methamphetamine dealer, a CCTV camera was found which was covered with a board measuring about 10 centimeters.

The small CCTV camera leads to a room in the rented house. He suspected that the camera was used to monitor officers who entered the house.

"We will find out where the monitor screen is. Because surely this CCTV camera is connected to one screen," he said.

Despite finding a CCTV camera, Dodi admitted that his members did not find the tenant.

In other places, however, the police carried out inspections of several houses and bunk buildings. From the results of the examination, Dodi found evidence in the form of six small plastic bags containing methamphetamine, six bongs of methamphetamine and several matches.

His party also arrested five residents who were suspected to be users of methamphetamine in the area.

"The suspects we arrested are AR, O, KH, IR, S," he said.

Those users will then be further vetted.
