AMBON - Heavy rain that fell from Monday, July 4 to Tuesday, July 5, caused floods and landslides in several parts of Ambon City, the capital of Maluku Province.

Secretary of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Ambon City, Eva Tuhumury, quoted residents' reports which stated that the flood was still inundating residential areas in the neighborhood of RT 006 RW 001 Nania Village, Teluk Ambon District.

According to her, the flood since Monday night has inundated six houses inhabited by 34 people in Nania Village.

Floods, she continued, also reportedly hit the Passo, Hative Kecil, Batu Merah, and Skip areas.
