Cak Imin Asks Trade Minister Zulhas To Immediately Find Solutions To Overcome Price Increases Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives for the Coordinator of People's Welfare (Korkesra) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, highlighted the high food prices in the market that are still being monitored. It is predicted that prices will rise even higher ahead of Eid al-Adha.

Cak Imin urged the government to immediately find a solution to stabilize food prices, which are currently soaring ahead of the Eid al-Adha celebrations.

"I think the government must immediately find a formula and solution to overcome the increase in the price of basic needs, how to stabilize the prices of goods in the market ahead of Eid al-Adha," said Cak Imin to reporters, Monday, July 4.

Cak Imin assessed that the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) needed to immediately find a quick solution to overcome the rising prices of basic commodities. Especially during this Eid al-Adha.

"The Minister of Trade must quickly find a solution, how the people's demands that the prices of goods can be stabilized are also realistic and need to be addressed immediately," he stressed.

On the other hand, the General Chairperson of the PKB also reminded farmers and buyers of sacrificial animals to be aware of the rampant mouth and nail disease (PMK). Especially at this time, there are livestock diseases that are asymptomatic.

"This disease of the mouth and nails must be properly anticipated. Moreover, there are those who are asymptomatic. So don't let our qurban worship intentions bring harm to other people," Cak Imin appealed.

Cak Imin warned the government to immediately accelerate and expand the reach of PMK vaccination, especially in areas where the disease was detected.

"That's right, PMK vaccination must be accelerated and expanded to suppress the transmission of FMD. This will also add to the calm in the community who want to sacrifice and will consume sacrificial animals," he concluded.
