TANGERANG – Two robbers were arrested by the police. The two perpetrators had the initials MM (23) and MF (22), while the victims were named Apen (35) and Imam Setiaji (25). During the action, the two perpetrators used sharp weapons.

Zain recounts the burglary occurred twice on the same day. The first incident was experienced by Apen who was sitting engrossed in playing his cellphone in Cigudeg, Tangerang Regency. Suddenly the perpetrator came and immediately draped a sickle around the victim's neck.

"(Because) afraid of the perpetrator's threat, the victim finally handed over her Samsung cellphone to the perpetrator," said Zain.

After successfully seizing Apen's cellphone, the two perpetrators fled and looked for new targets. After some time, continued Zain, his party received a report of a robbery victim experienced by Imam.

The incident began when the victim and his friends were about to go home but passed through the Tangerang City Government Center (Puspemkot) area. At that time the victim crossed paths with the two perpetrators.

Again, the perpetrators pointed the sickle at the victim. Suddenly the victim ran away. Unfortunately, Imam fell, so he was hacked by the perpetrator using a sickle.

"They scattered to save themselves, but the unfortunate victim, Imam Setiaji, fell and was stabbed with a sickle weapon," he said.

After receiving the two reports of robbery, the police immediately investigated until finally the two perpetrators were arrested in less than 24 hours. They were arrested in the Teluknaga area, Tangerang Regency.

"From their integration, they admit that they are the perpetrators of the robbery of the victims of Apen and Imam Setiaji," he said.

For their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code which carries a sentence of twelve years in prison.
