The Spa Ruko Masquerading As Health, Which Became The Venue For The 'Bungkus Night' Party, Condemned By Local Residents

JAKARTA - Residents around Grand Wijaya, South Jakarta admitted that they were surprised to learn that there was a practice of prostitution in their area. Residents do not know because the place looks like a health massage service.

Ismalia Miharja, one of the workers at Grand Wijaya, which is located close to a prostitution spa shop, said she was surprised that there was a spa providing sex services in her work environment. Ismalia said she was restless, and she hoped that her work environment would be free from prostitution.

"I have never heard of this (Bungkus Night). I want this environment to be a normal, natural, and healthy environment. Because many here are serious in the fields of education, consultants, trade," said Ismalia to reporters, Monday, June 20.

Another resident, Suratno, said that the Hamilton SPA and Massage has been operating for a year. Now the place has been sealed by the DKI Jakarta Tourism Office and Satpol PP.

"The police were 2 days ago. The Satpol PP and the Service this morning. Operated for one year. The shophouse was made a SPA. In the past, Sumber Wijaya (so Hamilton) didn't explain it," said Suratno.

Suratno admitted that he was restless when Hamilton's SPA and Massage were reopened. Because many young people and even parents come to that place just to find satisfaction.

"If it's open again, it's troubling for people here. Fully, he doesn't comply with the PPKM operating procedures, but no one stops them. (Those who come) are young and old," he concluded.
