Surya Paloh's Harsh Satire On The Government Regarding Cooking Oil

JAKARTA - Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, touched on the issue of cooking oil, which has not yet been resolved during his closing speech at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the JCC, Senayan.

Initially, Surya Paloh talked about Indonesia having big capital as a nation. According to him, not all other nations on earth have gifts like Indonesia. Starting from its strategic geographical position, extraordinary natural resources, and more than adequate human resources.

However, said Paloh, the reality of life in social interactions makes all parties must be able to accept the objective fact that what exists is still far from expectations, so the nation must be serious about starting a new tradition.

As recently, Paloh gave an example, the state has been slow in dealing with the problems of the lives of many people. For example, the scarcity and price of cooking oil is expensive.

"Countries with the largest oil production, for example, palm oil, we have had problems with cooking oil for months, this is something that can make our hearts ask what is wrong? Matters like this alone take too long to resolve, " said Surya Paloh in his closing speech at the National Demvo Work Meeting, Friday, June 17.

Therefore, said Surya Paloh, the Indonesian people must really struggle to change traditions for the better. So that Indonesia becomes an optimistic nation.

"This is why we must continue to strive to carry out the mission of the change movement. Because the essence of the change movement is a change in the mental attitude of all that we have," he concluded.
