Inaugurating Hadi Tjahjanto As Minister Of ATR/BPN, Jokowi Orders Land And Certificate Disputes To Be Settled Immediately

JAKARTA - Former TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto who now serves as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) now has two important tasks for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Among them are resolving land disputes that are rife.

This was conveyed by President Jokowi after inaugurating new ministers and deputy ministers for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 15.

"Last night I conveyed matters relating to land disputes, as many land disputes as possible can be resolved," Jokowi told reporters at the State Palace, Jakarta.

Not only that, Jokowi also asked Hadi to speed up the land certification process which is the task of BPN.

"Both certificate issues must be resolved as much as possible," said Jokowi.

The last task that must be completed by Hadi is related to the construction of the National Capital of the Archipelago (IKN).

He is sure Hadi is able to complete all the tasks assigned to him. Moreover, Hadi has experience as a TNI Commander who controls territorial issues.

"Pak Hadi is the Minister of ATR/BPN because he used to be a former commander who controlled the territory," said Jokowi.

In addition, the new minister is also considered capable of working in detail. "I believe Pak Hadi has the ability to do that," said Jokowi.

As previously reported, President Jokowi has officially inaugurated the General Chair of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan and former TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto as ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet at the State Palace today, Wednesday, June 15.

Zulkifli Hasan is now the Minister of Trade replacing M. Lutfi while Hadi Tjahjanto is the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) of the National Land Agency (BPN).

The inauguration ceremony began with singing Indonesia Raya. The invited guests, including the general chairmen of political parties, were also present at the event.

After Indonesia Raya was read out, the Deputy for Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of State Secretariat Nanik Purwanti read out Presidential Decree No. 64 P of 2022 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers for the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period.

"Appointed as state minister for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the remaining term of office for the 2019-2024 period. Brother Zulkifli Hasan as Minister of Trade, respectively. Brother Hadi Tjahjanto as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning and Head of the National Land Agency (BPN)," he said. Nanik read out a quote from the Presidential Decree that was set for Tuesday, June 15.
