This Teenager Pimps Online Prostitution Of Minors And Joins In Sex

JAKARTA - The Jambi Regional Police arrested a 16-year-old teenager for being involved in the online trafficking of young women who were employed as commercial sex workers.

"In addition to trafficking underage women, perpetrator Z also had sexual intercourse with the victim", said Head of Sub-Directorate IV for Women and Children Services (PPA) at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jambi Police, AKBP Kristian Adi Wibawa, Saturday, June 11.

The teenage man was arrested by the police for allegedly being involved in online prostitution and sexual intercourse with a minor while staying at a Jambi City hotel while selling young women to their customers through an online application.

In the case of suspect Z, the temporary suspicion of sexual intercourse with a minor leading to the Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) case by employing him as a commercial sex worker is still being investigated by Jambi Police investigators.

"We have not found or there is complete evidence for the TIP case of suspect Z, but there is a strong suspicion that it leads to online prostitution as well", said Kristian Adi Wibawa quoted from Antara.

The suspect was arrested at a hotel in Jambi City after committing acts of sexual intercourse with a minor, the victim was aged 14 to 16 years.

There were two victims, after being sexually assaulted by the perpetrators, who were immediately offered a job through a sex application.

However, he said, the evidence was not strong enough and investigators were still under investigation leading to TIP, but the evidence was incomplete.

Kristian also said that although the suspect is a minor, the suspect's actions have violated the law, and currently the suspect is being charged with child sexual intercourse with the threat of imprisonment for up to five years in prison.
