The Dust Cleaner Used By The AGO Does Not Have A Distribution Permit

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Porli revealed that the dust cleaner used by the Attorney General's Office does not have a distribution permit. This is known from the results of the police investigation.

"After we examined this dust cleaner did not have a distribution permit, so investigators concluded that the procurement of floor cleaning equipment was not in accordance with the provisions," said the Director of the General Crime Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the National Police Brigadier General Ferdy Sambo to reporters, Friday, October 23. .

According to him, the Attorney General's Office's (AGO) commitment maker (PPK) has been collaborating with PT ARM as a producer of dust cleaner cleaning fluids since 2018.

"The procurement process has been carried out and has occurred for about two years," said Ferdy.

The agreement to use the illegal cleaning fluid was allegedly due to its low price. In fact, the content in the cleaning fluid is also very dangerous.

"It should know (it is dangerous). That's why it shouldn't be used but it should be used, maybe it's cheap," he said.

Ferdy previously said that the fire quickly spread to all parts of the Attorney General's Office building because of the dust cleaner.

Where the cleaning fluid contains flammable materials, namely, gasoline, diesel, and fragrances. For that reason, the fire that was originally on the sixth floor spread throughout the building.

"We can conclude that what accelerates the spread of fire in the building is the use of lobby oil or floor cleaner," he said.

In this case the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit named eight suspects. Five of them are construction workers.

The five construction workers have the initials T, H, S, K, and IS. They were named suspects for violating the no smoking rule in the personnel bureau hall.

While the other three namely, UAM as the foreman, R who is the Director of PT ARM and the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the Attorney General's Office, NH.

The determination of the suspect against UAM was reasoned because they did not supervise the five craftsmen while they were working. Meanwhile, R and NH were named suspects for making an agreement to use a dash cleaner cleaning fluid which is said to accelerate the combustion process.

The suspects were charged under Article 188 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code with the threat of 5 years in prison.
