JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) secured various project documents from searches in two houses, Jayapura City, Papua.

The search was carried out in an investigation into suspected bribery and gratification cases related to the implementation of various projects in the Central Mamberamo Regency Government, Papua.

"From these two locations, various project documents were found and secured which are strongly suspected to be related to the case," said Plt. KPK spokesman Ali Fikri was quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 9.

The houses that were searched were the homes of the parties involved in the case in Waena Village, Heram District, Jayapura City and in Kotaraja, Abepura District, Jayapura City.

The evidence was then analyzed and confiscated to complete the case files of the suspects in the case.

Previously, the KPK had also searched several locations in Jayapura City, Monday (6/6), namely the Skyline Residence Complex, Jayapura; Permata Indah housing estate, Abepura, Jayapura City; and a residence having the address at Jalan Regency II, Bhayangkara, North Jayapura.

The investigative team found and secured various evidences, including documents related to work projects, money transaction records, and electronic devices.

Until now, the KPK has not mentioned the parties named as suspects in the case, the construction of the case, and the articles that are suspected.

The KPK will convey after sufficient investigation and coercive efforts, be it arrests or detentions, against the suspects.

The KPK also reminded various parties, especially witnesses and suspects, to be cooperative during the investigation of the case.
