Acting Mayor Of Yogyakarta Confirms KPK Confiscates Several Licensing Documents Related To OTT Haryadi Suyuti

YOGYAKARTA - The acting mayor of Yogyakarta, Sumadi, confirmed that officers from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had secured a number of documents related to permits during a search of the Yogyakarta City Hall complex.

"I was just reported because I just arrived in Yogyakarta last night. There are files that were taken. Some are related to yesterday's arrest and several other permits," Sumadi said in Yogyakarta as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 8.

However, Sumadi, who was just inaugurated as the Acting Mayor of Yogyakarta on May 22, could not confirm in detail the other licensing documents that were also secured by KPK officers.

"The documents brought are permits that were issued when he (the former mayor of Yogyakarta, HS) was still in office," he said.

KPK officers searched a number of rooms in the Yogyakarta City Hall complex which had previously been sealed. The search started from the Yogyakarta Mayor's office and then shifted to the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) and to the Public Works Agency for Housing and Settlement Areas (DPUPKP).

The search at the Yogyakarta City Hall complex was carried out for about 9 hours.

"In every room, there are files that are secured. However, the files that are secured are mostly from the Investment Service and One Stop Integrated Services," he said.

He ensured that the Yogyakarta City Government cooperated well with the investigation and investigation of the alleged bribery case involving the former Mayor of Yogyakarta HS and a number of ASN within the local government regarding the permit for apartment construction by Summarecon.

The seals that were previously installed in the searched room have been completely removed, including at the Yogyakarta Mayor's Official Home opposite the Yogyakarta City Hall complex.

Former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti along with two ASN within the Yogyakarta City Government, namely the Head of DPMPTSP, NWH, and HS' personal aide and assistant, TBY were named suspects in the alleged bribery case for apartment construction permits.
