LGBT Couple Went Viral Cuddles While Sitting At Cafe, Finally Arrested By Police

JAKARTA – The Head of Pancoran Sub-district, Rizki Adhari Yusal, confirmed the immoral acts allegedly carried out by an LGBT couple at the Wow cafe, Pancoran, South Jakarta. Rizki said the incident occurred on Tuesday, May 31.

"The incident occurred on May 31. It seems that at night, according to the cafe owner, it really happened," said Rizky when contacted, Monday, June 6.

Rizki said, after the couple's action went viral on social media, a number of parties immediately held a monitoring meeting. Those involved in the meeting were the South Jakarta Satpol PP, Pancoran Police, Pancoran Village, and the management of the Wow Cafe.

"From that incident, this afternoon we held a regional monitoring meeting at the location, at the Wow Cafe," he said.

Meanwhile, the male youth allegedly recorded in the video was taken by the Pancoran Police Headquarters. However, Rizki said that he did not know more about the legal process.

"The perpetrators in the video are already with the police. The perpetrators, based on the information, will be subjected to criminal charges. I just don't know the article, whether immoral or ITE will be with the police chief," he said.

Please note, previously in the same location, there was also a similar problem. A group of scantily clad men suspected of being gay or LGBT people were dancing along to music at the Wow Cafe. The action was caught on an amateur video which eventually went viral on social media.

Residents who knew about the activity immediately burrowed into the Wow Cafe. Residents suspect the place to be a party place for the LGBT community. However, the cafe staff denied the allegations.
