BANJARMASIN - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno assessed that Banjarbaru City in South Kalimantan Province is progressing and developing in the creative economy sector of the craft or handicraft sub-sector.

"In the next year, we want to ensure that we can facilitate the craft sector in this city so that we can designate Banjarbaru City as a creative city for the crafts sub-sector," said Sandiaga during the Creative Words workshop in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan, as reported by Antara, Friday, June 3.

Sandiaga, who made a working visit to improve the tourism and creative economy sectors in South Kalimantan, stated that Banjarbaru City as the newly designated capital city of South Kalimantan province is very developed for creative economy players to support the regional tourism sector.

According to him, with the rise of the creative economy in the craft sector in Banjarbaru City, it can open up business and labor opportunities. "Earlier, we have seen the best products from Banjarbaru City, I'm even using some of these," said Sandi. tall.

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Banjarbaru Wartono expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno to encourage MSME actors in his city.

"Hopefully the enthusiasm of today's participants can continue and be an inspiration, especially for MSMEs in Banjarbaru City," he said.
