MAGELANG – To commemorate the Birthday of Pancasila on June 1, a number of activities were carried out by the community. One of them unfurled a 1,000-meter-long Red and White flag to surround Borobudur Temple in Magelang Regency, Central Java, on Wednesday 1 June 2022.

The chairman of the Committee for the 1,000-meter Red and White Flag at Borobudur Temple, Edi Santoso, said the activity was an expression of love for the country from the youth of the archipelago tourism village who came from various regions in Indonesia.

A participant in the Spread of the Red and White Flag activity at Borobudur Temple named Lili expressed her joy at being able to commemorate the Birthday of Pancasila by participating in unfurling the Red and White Flag at Borobudur Temple.

"I came to Borobudur with my mother. Coincidentally, this is the first time I have visited Borobudur Temple," said the woman from Nias, North Sumatra.
