Welcomed At Ende NTT, Jokowi Gets Down The Car 2 Times Selfie With Residents

NTT - A number of residents of Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), were at the Simpang Lima roundabout to welcome President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Tuesday afternoon, at around 17.30 WITA.

"I came straight home from work here. So far I've only seen it on television. Today I want to see it live," said Ende City resident Ibu Nony at the Ende Simpang Lima roundabout, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 31 afternoon.

Residents cheered and tried to approach as soon as Jokowi's car left the gates of El Tari Airport. In fact, Jokowi took the time to get out of the car and greet the residents, greet, talk, and take pictures together. He also distributed some clothes to local residents.

"I really love Jokowi. So I was willing to come here. The point is, I can see you," said one resident named Elisabeth (30).

Based on field observations, Jokowi got out of his car twice and chatted with local residents. With his distinctive style, Jokowi smiled and called on residents to take selfies together. Residents then shouted hysterically to welcome President Jokowi's arrival.

Jokowi is scheduled to stay overnight in Ende because he will act as Inspector of Ceremonies at the Commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila on June 1, 2022 at Pancasila Square, Ende.

After the ceremony, the President is scheduled to visit Bung Karno Reflection Park and Ende Mbongawani Market and receive a customary title from Ende's traditional house.
