He said, according to the results of research conducted by a number of experts that the sorghum plants found in East Sumba are the best in Indonesia because from the results of the development of sorghum in Sumatra, Sulawesi and Java, the quality of sorghum is very good in East Sumba Regency.
According to him, the sorghum land that has been developed in East Sumba Regency is around tens of hectares and is planned to be expanded to reach thousands of hectares.
Regent Khristofel Praing said the sorghum harvesting activity had been carried out on eight hectares of land with very satisfactory results.
In addition to observing the production of sorghum, President Joko Widodo also monitored community activities at the Waingapu City market, the capital of East Sumba Regency.
