JAKARTA - Two victims of the fraudulent investment of the DNA Pro trading robot came to the office of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to ask for assistance in the form of restitution or compensation services.

The victim's attorney, Riki Rikardo Manik, said that he accompanied Wendy and Prasetya, brothers who were victims of fraudulent investments under the guise of DNA Pro trading, to the LPSK office to ask for restitution so that the money invested could return.

"There is a right of the victim to get compensation from the perpetrator for the loss suffered as a result of the crime committed and therefore we ask LPSK to be able to provide legal protection in the form of restitution service facilities", Riki told reporters, Monday, May 30.

The total loss suffered by the two victims reached IDR 25 billion.

"We are currently accompanying the victims. Those who came to LPSK were two brothers and sisters with a loss of IDR 25 billion", said Riki.

With the request for restitution services, Riki hopes that the LPSK can submit the points for the claim for compensation to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) so that they can be submitted on the agenda of demands when the trial of this case is held.

"Later it will be submitted to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) for further submission to the panel of judges when this case has reached the trial stage", he said.

Meanwhile, one of the victims named Wendy hopes that the LPSK can grant the request for restitution.

"We hope that as victims here, we can get help from the LPSK for the main purpose of getting our money back, who are victims in this case", he said.

He also admitted that he was tempted to participate in fraudulent investments under the guise of trading the DNA Pro robot because he was lured by perpetrators who said the trading practice was safe and clear in terms of licensing.

"Initially they said it was real trading, everything was clear and we were informed that all the permits were complete, from there we finally tried it and finally got tricked", he said.
