Initially the patient experienced gastrointestinal complaints, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and yellow eyes. However, after being tested for hepatitis from A to E the results were negative.

"Hepatitis A to E are negative, so we classify the cases of acute hepatitis as non-etiological and the cases may be called"

probable. The patient is two years old and his clinical condition is good, maybe we will send him home in a day or two," added Sanjaya.

The team of doctors have sent regional samples and throat and anal swabs to Jakarta for further examination.

"For the good clinical and laboratory tests, there is also no hepatitis E, so it is determined probable," he said.

It is estimated that this two year old child will soon be able to return home. The patient is currently being treated in isolation.

"Hepatitis is an inflammatory process that will slowly heal. He is clinically good, his child has no fever, playing and other activities are good," he said.
