East Kalimantan Provincial Government Proposes To Central Government To Build Electricity And Gas Infrastructure

SAMARINDA - The Provincial Government of East Kalimantan proposes to the Central Government to support a number of electricity and household gas infrastructure development programs.

East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor in an official statement in Samarinda, Sunday, May 22, said that the proposal had gone through the 2022 Kalimantan Regional Development Planning Deliberation.

He explained that the proposals in the energy sector include revitalizing existing Solar Power Plants (PLTS) such as PLTS Balikukup Village in Berau Regency, PLTS Muara Jawa Village and PLTS Kendesiq Village in West Kutai, as well as PLTS Long Lunuk Village and Long Village PLTS Apari in Mahakam Ulu.

"This proposal is in general. Hopefully, it will increase the electrification ratio, equal distribution of electrical energy for people throughout the region and drive the economy in the 3T area with electricity," said Isran Noor, quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, the construction of new PLTS is also proposed in Berau, namely in Kelay District, Long Keluh Village, Panaan Village, Long Pelay Village, Mapulu Village. Segah District, Punan Mahakam Village, Punan Segah Village and Long Ayap Village.

West Kutai Regency, in Muara Mahu District, Tanjung Pagar Village. Tering Subdistrict, Tukul Village, Muyub Ulu Village, Muyub Aket Village, Merging Baru Village. Long Iram District, Kelian Luar Village, Ujoh Halang Village.

East Kutai Regency is located in Sangkulirang District in Peridan Village, Saka Village, Mandu Pantai Sejahtera Village, Mandu Dalam Village, Pelawan Village and Tepian Terap Village. The Sandaran District consists of Manubar Dalam Village, Manubar Village and Tanjung Mangkalihat Village.

Mahakam Ulu Regency, in the Long Hubung District, consists of Wana Pariq Village. Laham District consists of Nyaribungan Village. Long Apari District consists of Naha Tifab Village, Naha Silat Village and Long Apari Village.

Kutai Kartanegara Regency, in Anggana District in Sepatin Village. Muara Kaman sub-district consists of Tunjugan Village, Kupang Baru Village and Liang Buaya Village. Meanwhile, Paser Regency is in Kuaro Subdistrict in Harapan Baru Village.

"All these proposals for the energy sector, we have prepared the land, the general study includes a detailed technical design or the Detail Engineering Design (DED)," he explained.

For the construction of a household gas distribution network, Isran continued, the aim is to meet the supply and use of clean, cheap, and efficient energy, as well as save the country from imports of LPG.

Isran said that the proposed household gas development includes approximately 2,000 connections with a target in Bontang, South Bontang District, Sub-District of South Bontang, North Bontang, West Bontang District, Balikpapan for Central Balikpapan District and North Balikpapan District.

Kutai Kartanegara Regency for the sub-districts of Muara Badak, Marangkayu, Muara Java, Samboja, Anggana, Sangasanga and Tenggarong Seberang. North Penajam Paser Regency for Waru District.
