JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR), Prince Khairul Saleh, highlighted the Directorate of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, which has again named a new suspect in the CPO export case, namely Lin Che Wei.

According to him, the determination of the suspect against Lin Che Wei was quite surprising because previously the Director-General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade was also named a suspect in alleged corruption related to the provision of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) export facilities.

"This also proves the commitment of Attorney General ST Burhanuddin in handling the cooking oil mafia case", said Prince, Wednesday, May 18.

According to Prince, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin's strong statement, which promised to pursue any criminals, is a strong signal that eradicating the food mafia is one of the priorities for the prosecution of the Attorney General's Office.

"I and Commission III fully support the performance and achievements of the Indonesian Attorney General ST Burhanuddin in uncovering this food mafia crime", he said.

Given that the suspect Lin Che Wei's position as a policy and analysis advisor for Independent Research & Advisory Indonesia (IRAI) has also been involved as a member of the Assistant Team for the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Prince hopes that the AGO will thoroughly investigate the case of CPO exports.

"I fully support the commitment and promise of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, who stated that the determination of the suspect Lin Che Wei is the entrance to revealing other, bigger suspects related to the cooking oil mafia case", said Prince.

"The involvement of the suspect Lin Che Wei in every meeting at the Ministry of Commerce has been disclosed. What is wrong with Lin Che Wei participating in the meeting to determine the domestic market obligation (DMO) for cooking oil?", he added.

The PAN politician said that the Attorney General's Office made Lin Che Wei a suspect, proving that the mafia played 'beautiful' based on a rational study of economic policies.

"The pattern of crime that makes economic experts as brokers of the mafia, especially in terms of influencing economic policy, we must be aware of together", concluded the Prince.

Previously, investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes of the Attorney General's Office found evidence related to Lin Che Wei alias Weibinanto Halimdjati in the alleged corruption case regarding the provision of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) export facilities and derivatives for the January 2021 - March 2022 period.

Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, said the suspect Lin Che Wei had a relationship with Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana (IWW) Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade (Dirjen Daglu), who was named a suspect last April.

"Incidentally, he (Lin Che Wei) already has evidence, it is known that there is a relationship with the alleged Director-General in managing the DMO which is against the law", said Febrie at the round building, the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 17.
