Inspected By KPK For 8 Hours Regarding The Case Of Budhi Sarwono's Money Laundering, Boyamin Saiman Claims Only Debt Management At PT Bumirejo

JAKARTA - Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman claims he is only dealing with debt problems at PT Bumirejo. This was conveyed by him after being examined by KPK investigators for eight hours.

Boyamin was examined as a witness in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU) by the inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono. His name appears in this case because he is the Director of PT Bumirejo, a company owned by Budhi and his family.

"When asked about it (the flow of money, ed) I don't know. Because my job is only to take care of debts," Boyamin told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 17.

Boyamin said similar information was also given to investigators from the anti-corruption commission.

"I answered the same way earlier. Yes, I was, for example, asked about finances, I didn't know, didn't know the operations, and then the management, financially and operationally, I didn't know, including whether it was a tender or not," he said.

There are also debt matters that have to be taken care of by Boyamin in a number of banks and amounting to billions of rupiah.

Boyamin said he received 11 questions, some of which touched on his introduction to Budhi Sarwono and his salary.

"(Question, ed) number eight, salary, well, that's Rp. 5 million (my salary, ed). Yes, it is," he explained.

As previously reported, the KPK has named Budhi Sarwono as a suspect in the money laundering crime (TPPU). The decision was made after investigators developed a bribery case at the PUPR Service and the gratification that ensnared him some time ago.

In this case, Budi is alleged to have hidden his wealth from the two corruption crimes and converted it into assets in the form of movable or immovable property. In addition, the KPK has confiscated assets worth Rp. 10 billion.
