JAKARTA - The joint SAR team is still searching for a drowned child in Kali Sabi, Cibodas District, Tangerang City, Banten. The search was conducted on Wednesday 11 May, the evening.

The drowning victim is named Anas Hakiki (4). This tragic incident was experienced by the victim when he was watching the flood with his father in front of PT Luxtera on Wednesday, May 11, at around 16.30 western Indonesia time.

At the time of the incident, the victim's father saw the flood while washing his motorbike without paying attention to the condition of his son. Suddenly the victim fell into the stream of Kali Sabi and was swept away by the current.

The Jakarta SAR Office, which received the information, then dispatched rescue personnel to the scene of the incident to carry out SAR operations.

Hendra said the search was divided into three search areas since Wednesday, May 11, at night. The first team conducted a search by sweeping along the Sabi River using a rubber boat up to a radius of 1 KM.

The second team conducted a search with visual observations by land on the banks of the Sabi River up to a radius of 500 meters from the scene.

Then the third team will use Aqua Eye and Underwater Searching Division media to see objects below the water surface.

"If conditions permit, dives will be carried out with a radius of 10 meters from the scene of the incident at the point where the victim's signs are suspected," he said.

The joint SAR personnel involved in the search for victims include the Jakarta SAR Office, Cibodas Koramil, Tangerang City Fire Department, Tangerang City BPBD, and the community.

So far, the victim has not been found. Officers will expand the search area again until the victim is found.
