Seizure Of 936 Bottles Of Traditional 'Moke' Alcohol In Bima NTB, Police Start Tracking Goods Suppliers

BIMA - Police officers from the Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Resort Police confiscated 936 bottles containing a traditional moke-type liquor from a resident who lives in the Sambinae area.

Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Henry Novika Chandra, said that 936 bottles of traditional liquor typical of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, were found in cardboard packaging with brown tape.

"From the findings of this case, we suspect that this liquor will be circulated within the jurisdiction of the Bima Kota Police", said Henry in a written statement received in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

This allegation is confirmed by the owner's acknowledgment that some of the goods have been sold to the public. Regarding the origin of the liquor, Henry confirmed that his party is still investigating the information from the owner of the goods.

Thus, Henry ensured that his party was conducting an examination of the owner of the goods and that all evidence had been secured at the Bima Kota Police Headquarters.

"We save it for later destruction", he said.

Furthermore, Henry said that the active disclosure of the distribution of traditional Flores liquor was carried out thanks to the support of public information.

The police team from the Turjawali Unit, Samapta Unit, and Bima City Police followed up by conducting an investigation and succeeded in revealing the presence of the liquor on Tuesday, May 10 evening.

This activity is also confirmed as an effort by the police to create security and public order.
