JOMBANG - The family of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang Regency, East Java, has begun to prepare a burial site for Gus Dur's sister, Nyai Hajjah Lily Khodijah Wahid, who died, on Monday, May 9 at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang.

"There has been a movement, the selection of the location of the tomb," said the administrator of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang Regency, Abror Rosyidin in Jombang, as reported by Antara, Monday night.

The location of the selection of the grave remains from the family deliberations. After ascertaining the point, the tomb will be excavated. According to the plan, the location to be excavated for the tomb of Gus Dur's brother is in front of the tomb of Kiai Maksum Ali, in the tomb area at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang.

Azwani, administrator of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, added that until now there have been no instructions for mass tahlilan activities. Apart from the fact that the students have not yet entered the hut, there are still many administrators who have not returned to the hut.

For students to enter, according to the schedule, it is May 14, 2022. However, with this incident, of course, the administrators will also immediately return to the cottage.

"There is still no joint tahlilan activity. Santri have not yet entered the cottage, because they will only enter on May 14," he said.

He also added that until now not many flower bouquets have arrived. However, there has been a lot of information coming in that the bouquets will be sent soon, including from officials.

"There haven't been many flower bouquets yet. Later tonight, there will certainly be many," he said.

KH Abdurrahman Wahid's sister, or who is familiarly called Gus Dur, Nyai Hj Lily Khodijah Wahid passed away on Monday, 16:28 WIB at RSCM Jakarta.

The news of the death of Gus Dur's brother was also widely spread through the WhatsApp social network. According to information circulating, the body was buried in West Covina Blok SH 6/31, Cibubur Tourism City, Bogor.

The plan is that the bodies will be buried at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. The family will dispatch the body on Tuesday (10/5) from the funeral home, at 05:00 WIB.

Before he died, it was reported that Lily Wahid had had a stroke.

Lily Wahid leaves three children. Her husband, Indrawanto, had already died in 1987.

Lily Wahid was born in Jombang Regency, on March 4, 1948. She is the granddaughter of KH Hasyim Asy'ari, the founder of the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

His father, KH Wahid Hasyim, served as Minister of Religion in 1949, while his mother, Nyai Solichah A Wahid Hasyim, was the daughter of the founder of Pondok Pesantren Denanyar Jombang.

Lily Wahid is the fifth of six children. Besides Gus Dur, his brother who is also known as a figure in Indonesia is KH Sholahuddin Wahid or Gus Sholah. Both, namely Gus Dur and Gus Sholah, had already died.
