KEPRI - The government has set a quota for Riau Archipelago Hajj candidates (Kepri) who left for the Holy Land of Mecca in 1443 Hijri as many as 704.

Tanjungbalai Karimun Regency gets a regular quota of 66 and a reserve of 24 hajj candidates. Natuna Regency has a regular quota of 49 people and a reserve of 16 hajj candidates.

Lingga Regency gets a regular quota of 19 people and a reserve of two Hajj candidates. Bintan Regency gets a regular quota of 34 people and a reserve of five Hajj candidates. Anambas Regency gets 17 regular quotas and 0 reserves.

Edi explained that although the Riau Islands hajj quota has been set, his party is still making sure confirmation from prospective pilgrims until May 20.
