SERANG - The Lebak Police have named 13 suspects for the assault on seven residents that occurred in Sukanegara Village, Muncang District, Lebak Regency on Sunday, May 8, at around 13.00 WIB.

"The Lebak Police have received reports of incidents of abuse experienced by seven residents, namely SA (43), ST (40) YI (45) GR (30) YAA (42) AS (28) KL (50) which occurred in Sukanegara village, sub-district. Wiwin also explained that the incident began when victim SA (43) lost his motorbike on Friday, May 6. The victim, continued Wiwin, came to the psychic to inquire about the whereabouts of his motorbike. The victim received information from a psychic that the motorbike was hidden in a plantation in Bengkok Village, Sukanagara Village, Muncang District.

Armed with this information, said Wiwin, the victim asked six of his friends to look for his motorbike at the residents' plantation. Arriving at the location, SA and six of his colleagues inspected the residents' plantations.

“When the victims arrived at Babakan Village they were forcibly stopped by several residents and suspected of having stolen animals (buffaloes) because livestock thefts often occur in that area. Until finally the victim was beaten by 13 suspects, which resulted in seven victims suffering head injuries and one person is still receiving treatment at the Muncang Health Center," explained AKBP Wiwin.

After the victim made a report, the perpetrators of the beating, totaling 13 people, were arrested and made suspects. They were charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 5 years and six months in prison.
