One Way Back And Forth Will Take Effect This Afternoon From KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Road To KM 47 Cikampek Toll Road

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police carried out sterilization starting from KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Road to KM 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on Friday, May 6 at noon.

Head of Operations Section (Head of Ops) Korlantas Polri Kombes Pol. Eddi Juanedi said that the sterilization was in preparation for the implementation of one-way traffic engineering to prevent congestion from KM 414 to KM 47 during the peak of backflow which is predicted to occur starting today.

"The National Police have carried out the cleaning of the one-way route at 12.00 from km 414 to km 47," Eddi told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, May 6.

Sterilization is carried out to clear toll road lanes and also rest areas from passing vehicles before one way is implemented.

Sterilization is done before and after one way is applied. In order to prevent the density of vehicles on the toll road before traffic engineering is carried out. "Today, the one-way implementation will begin at 14.00 WIB," said Eddi, as reported by Antara.

The traffic engineering is carried out situationally with a schedule to see the condition of the vehicle in the field.

This police discretion will change from time to time according to traffic conditions on the ground.

Traffic engineering is carried out if the average hourly vehicle crossing the toll road is below 3,000 vehicles including the normal category, but if the number of vehicles is 3,000 - 5,000 then contraflow is carried out in several lanes depending on the direction of density and if it is above 5,000 vehicles, the engineering applied is a system one way.

The government predicts the peak of the return of homecomers to occur starting today, namely May 6, 7 and 8.
