BALI - The Denpasar City Government, Bali continues to aggressively carry out mass fumigation or fogging to anticipate the spread of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and Chikungunya.

"The City Government through the Denpasar Health Office continues to intensively carry out fogging to anticipate cases of dengue and Chikungunya which usually occur during this month", said Head of Protocol and Communications for Denpasar City Leaders, I Dewa Gede Rai in Denpasar, Antara, Sunday, May 1.

He said that this step had been coordinated in the fogging action from the Denpasar Health Service to the Public Health Center (Puskesmas) to the local village and sub-district.

"Coordination steps to carry out spraying have been carried out previously so that these actions are carried out according to the program", he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Pemecutan Kelod Village, Wayan Tantra, said that fogging activities in his area were carried out as an anticipatory step to prevent dengue and Chikungunya cases.

"We hope that the focus of fogging in this area can reduce the rate of spread of dengue and Chikungunya cases", he said.

Tantra further said that although focus fogging has been carried out, we hope that the community members will continue to maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment.

"Each resident should keep cleaning his home environment and the area around his residence to minimize the presence of mosquito larvae that cause dengue and Chikungunya", he said.
