Come On, Ternate Residents Have A Safe And Comfortable Takbiran Night, Stay Away From Alcohol, Drive Motorcycles On The Road Or Burn Firecrackers

TERNATE - Ternate Police, North Maluku (Malut) asked the public not to celebrate takbiran on main city streets to avoid congestion.

Ternate Police Chief AKBP Andik Purnomo Sigit said the Ternate Police had coordinated with the Islamic Holidays Committee (PHB) to ask the public, especially young people, not to march which would cause traffic jams.

He hopes that people will carry out takbiran at nearby mosques. If there are still people celebrating on the main road, the officers will direct them to special lanes to avoid traffic jams.

"I urge the entire community not to use vehicles with racing exhausts and to avoid firecrackers, and most importantly avoid alcohol, so that this takbiran is always safe and comfortable," he said in Ternate, Antara, Sunday, May 1.

Previously, the Operational Section (Ops) of the Ternate Police, North Maluku, prepared 11 service posts ahead of the Eid homecoming 1443 Hijriyah.

The Head of Ops for the Ternate Police, AKP Henri Alfredo Korwa, said the 11 posts consisted of 9 service posts and 1 security post and 1 integrated post.

"From the 9 service posts, they will be deployed at several crowded points, such as entrances and exits in the port area, airports, to crowded locations such as markets and other shopping centers," said Henri.

Henri added that the posts will be distributed in several places such as Semut Mangga Dua Port, Dufa-Dufa Port, Bastiong Port and Ferry Port for people who want to go or leave the area.

"For 1 integrated Pam Post, it will be placed in front of the Al-Munawar Mosque, Gamalama Village, Central Ternate District," he said.

Asked related to the number of personnel who will carry out security, according to him, security and services at the post are included in concentrated operations so that the number of personnel involved is 114.

He explained that the city will distribute the 11 posts so that they can anticipate things that are not desired and urge the public to continue to comply with the health protocols in their activities so that they continue to comply with the health procedures.
