JAKARTA - Member of Commission XI DPR RI Anis Byarwati asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to build houses for fire victims in the Pasar Gembrong area, East Jakarta in accordance with environmental management.

"I also hope that residents are willing to cooperate with the government so that their houses are built more properly, healthier, hygienically and neatly," Anis said in his statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 30.

He said this after visiting the former location of the Gembrong Market fire in Jatinegara District, North Cipinang Besar Village, East Jakarta.

Anis believes that the DKI Jakarta Government, in cooperation with the sub-districts and sub-districts, will work hand in hand to help the burned houses be arranged and rebuilt.

"Hopefully the wishes of the father and mother can be heard by Governor Anis Baswedan and Deputy Governor Riza Patria, I believe they are 'touched' by this disaster. They are very good leaders of Jakarta and always pay attention to their citizens because helping citizens is the government's obligation," he said.

The member of the PKS faction of the DPR RI asked the residents of the fire victims to remain patient in facing the disaster that occurred during the month of Ramadan.

On the occasion, Deputy Head of Jatinegara Endang Sub-district said that his party would help rebuild the houses of the fire victims.

However, according to him, the construction must be adjusted to the new land ownership and environmental arrangement.

"God willing, it will be rebuilt but will be adjusted according to the ownership of the land, because the status of the land here is arable land which has a deed of sale and purchase," he said.

Because of that, according to him, there will be a re-data collection from the kelurahan side, because the buildings that were burned were owned by more than three people, there were three floors from bottom to top with different land ownership statuses.

According to him, the redevelopment will be prioritized first for the home owners, while the contractors will be directed to Flats.

Endang said, for the fire victims who mostly work as traders, their place of business will be moved to a new location.

Previously, a fire hit the Pasar Gembrong area in RW 01, North Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, on Sunday (24/4) at around 21.00 WIB.

The fire caused about 400 buildings to be burned and the loss was estimated at IDR 1.5 billion.
