Homecoming Flow 2022: D-5 Lebaran, Cisumdawu Toll Road Still Empty

BANDUNG - The volume of vehicles crossing the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road, Sumedang Regency, West Java, is still empty today or D-5 ahead of Eid 2022.

It was observed that the vehicle intensity at KM 160 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road was still vacant. However, the characteristic four-wheeled vehicles of homecomers have begun to appear on the toll road.

"For those who are busy on D-5, the northern route is indeed the toll road, while the arterial route is still normal. In addition, the southern route is still normal," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 27.

The two lanes on the Cisumdawu Toll Road, both towards Bandung and towards Sumedang, the current situation is still the same. In addition to private vehicles, large vehicles such as trucks are also available on the toll road.

Meanwhile, from the starting point of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, namely the Cileunyi Toll Gate, more vehicles are heading out of the toll gate. Meanwhile, the number of vehicles traveling towards the Cisumdawu Toll Road was observed to be fewer when compared to the outgoing vehicles.

A number of private vehicles that pass on the new toll road have plate number D (Bandung), plate number Z (Sumedang), and number plate E (Cirebon-Majalengka). Not many vehicles other than the number plate have passed on the toll road.

Even so, the signs on the Cisumdawu Toll Road appear to be complete. Starting from road signs, kilometer number signs, to road markings have also been installed on the toll road.

In order to deal with the homecoming flow on this route, Ibrahim said that his party had prepared a number of ways to act in case of overcrowding of travelers.

The West Java Police Traffic Directorate will also use the Cisumdawu toll road as an alternative if there is a queue density at the Cileunyi Toll Gate. Later the police will direct vehicles to enter the Cisumdawu Toll Road to exit at the Jatinangor Toll Gate.

"We have prepared a way to act in the field, and it is adjusted to the conditions on the ground," said Ibrahim.
