JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah appreciates the train station porters who have provided good service to their passengers and their presence is considered very helpful.

"Thank you, gentlemen, who have provided the best service to the passengers," said the Minister of Manpower in a written statement received in Jakarta, Monday, April 25.

This appreciation from the Minister of Manpower was conveyed when he visited Pasar Senen Station, Central Jakarta. Ida told me that she and her family were returning home, often using train transportation and using porter services.

The presence of porters can ease the burden on passengers, especially those who carry heavy goods. Especially now that the government has allowed Lebaran homecoming, thus passenger activity at the station will be congested.

"I often use the train to go home during Lebaran. I live in Jakarta, but always go home. And the presence of this porter is very helpful for me and my family who go home by train," he said.

The Minister of Manpower then expressed his gratitude because the activities of the porters returned to normal along with the slowing down of COVID-19. Nevertheless, he still reminded porters to always apply health protocols, such as wearing masks.

"We are grateful that the condition has started to return to normal, although not completely. This is because the government has succeeded in controlling COVID-19, and the government's work is welcomed by the community by wanting to get a booster vaccine and obeying health protocols," he said.

With many people who have taken vaccinations, he is optimistic that the health and economy of the community will recover.

"If economic conditions improve, God willing, we will return to pre-pandemic conditions. From pandemic to endemic," he said.
