JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that the flooding in 29 RTs around the banks of the Ciliwung River had receded this afternoon.

Previously, this flood occurred not because of the rain that fell on Jakarta, but because of runoff from the Katulampa Dam, Bogor, West Java.

"Updated information on inundation up to 15.00 WIB is now completely dry," said Head of the DKI BPBD Disaster Information and Data Center M. Insaf in his statement, Tuesday, April 19.

Insaf said all inundation had been handled by the local urban village PPSU, the DKI BPBD rapid reaction team, the Water Resources Service, Satpol PP, and the DKI Fire and Rescue Service.

It is known that the Katulampa Dam experienced a water level rise (TMA) of 130 cm, resulting in a flood alert status in DKI Jakarta, due to heavy rains that flushed almost all areas of Bogor on Monday, April 18 at around 16.00-20.01 WIB.

Heavy rain that lasted for approximately 4 hours in the Bogor area made the TMA rise. The water discharge from the dam had reached 91,760 liters/second.

As a result, this morning at 09.00 WIB, there were 29 RTs in Jakarta that were flooded. In detail, there were 9 RTs that were submerged in Cawang Village, East Jakarta with water levels ranging from 50 to 130 centimeters.

Then, there were 19 RTs that were submerged in Kampung Melayu Village, East Jakarta with water levels ranging from 50 to 125 centimeters. Furthermore, there was 1 RT that was submerged in Rawajati Village, South Jakarta with a water level of up to 130 centimeters.
