JAKARTA - The Indonesian Dai Association (IKADI) condemned the Israeli army raid on the Al Aqsa Mosque, which resulted in more than 150 Palestinians being injured and hundreds of others arrested, after Friday prayers on April 15.

"Strongly condemns the attack carried out by the Israeli occupation army against the Aqsa Mosque which is a holy place as well as the first mecca for Muslims," said General Chairperson of the IKADI Central Executive, Ahmad Kusyairi Suhail in a written statement received in Jakarta, Sunday, April 17.

He conveyed that IKADI also demanded that the Israeli authorities stop all forms of harassment against the holy places of Muslims in Palestine, especially the Al Aqsa Mosque and ensure that similar incidents do not happen again.

"Israeli authorities must put an end to all forms of violence, oppression and massacres directed against the Palestinian people, also guarantee and protect their rights to worship and exercise their civil rights, and demand access to the outside world to directly monitor their condition," he said.

He added that IKADI also urges the government of the Republic of Indonesia to take a firm stance and take concrete steps to protect the Al Aqsa Mosque as well as stop the humanitarian tragedy in Palestine through the United Nations (UN), Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), and various other international organizations.

He added that IKADI asked the government to continue to push for the realization of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, and to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine, which is in line with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution.

Ahmad instructed IKADI Regional Managers throughout Indonesia to actively participate together with other Muslim elements in carrying out solidarity actions for Palestinian Muslims.

"Inviting all Muslims to pray and carry out Qunut Nazilah, may Allah Ta'ala help Muslims in Palestine and also in other parts of the world who are currently experiencing oppression," he said, quoted by Antara.
