MAKASSAR - Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) said the case of the shooting of the late Transportation Service officer, Najamuddin Sewang, who is now the police's attention, will soon be revealed.

"That's already the way (the investigation). It will be announced soon (the police)", said Danny Pomanto in Makassar, Thursday, April 14.

He said the police had so far continued to provide developments on the handling of the shooting case against the victim.

"I get updates (developments in handling cases) always", said the two-term mayor.

His party hopes that the public will not be disturbed by the incident, because the authorities continue to work hard to uncover the case to maintain stability, security, and order during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijiriah.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations, South Sulawesi Regional Police, Commissioner Komang Suartana said the victim, the late Najamuddin Sewang, was shot by an unknown person (OTK) using a manufactured weapon.

"The results of the Forensic Laboratory, the projectiles have been released. From the (bullets) manufacturers, as well as the weapons used, the weapons manufacturers. The types are still being developed", said Komang in Makassar, last week.

The Directorate of General Crime and Investigation of the South Sulawesi Police continues to help the Makassar Police Criminal Investigation teamwork professionally to uncover the shooting case.

Regarding the results of the CCTV footage at the scene, he said, an in-depth investigation has been carried out and further examination, including the people in the CCTV footage, will be used as witnesses.

In addition, eight people have been examined as witnesses. Like the witness at the crime scene (TKP) helping the victim, the family, and the Siloam Hospital, at that time the victim was taken there, then sent home after being declared dead.

The deceased victim, 33-year-old Najamuddin Sewang, was allegedly shot by OTK while crossing Danau Tanjung Bunga Street, Makassar on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at around 11.00 WITA after carrying out his duties.
