KULON PROGO - The Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, will provide assistance to beneficiary families who receive direct cooking oil cash assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Head of the Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Dinsos P3A) Kulon Progo Irianta in Kulon Progo, Wednesday, April 13, said the number of recipients of direct cash assistance for cooking oil, was the same as recipients of non-cash food assistance (BPNT) for basic needs sourced from the revenue and expenditure budget. national budget (APBN) as many as 23,060 beneficiary families (KPM).

"Based on the information we received, direct cash assistance (BLT) will begin to be distributed on April 12, 2022, through PT Post Offices in each sub-district," Irianta said as quoted by Antara.

He said KPM would receive BLT cooking oil for three months, namely April, May, and June 2022 in the amount of IDR 300 thousand. In addition, KPM will also receive a BPNT of IDR 200 thousand specifically for May. On the first day of distribution in Kulon Progo, aid had been distributed to 719 KPM.

"In total, each KPM received the assistance of IDR 500 thousand," he said.

Deputy Chairman I of the Kulon Progo DPRD, Ponimin Budi Hartono, supports the distribution of non-cash food assistance from the central government through the post office and is spent freely because it is able to revive people's markets and grocery stores in this area.

"The impact of BPNT's spending policy through e-Warong, small traders in people's markets and grocery stores complained that there were no buyers. They also protested. However when the distributed BNPT through post office causing the recipients of assistance to shop in the market, the market is back to business," he said.
