Bawaslu-DPR Holds PKPU Meeting And 2024 Election Budget Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Bawaslu chairman Rahmat Bagja said that Bawaslu and the DPR will hold a hearing on PKPU and the election budget, Wednesday, April 13.

"The discussion about the discussion of the hearing meeting for tomorrow regarding the PKPU stages that will be discussed, then the second is regarding the general election budget which will be discussed," said Rahmat Bagja as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 12.

Bawaslu has discussed PKPU and the general election budget in the first plenary meeting after being sworn in as a member of the Indonesian Bawaslu for the 2022-2027 period.

"Well, that's what we talked about at the time (plenary)," said Bagja.

In addition to PKPU and the election budget, according to him, the plenary meeting also discussed the determination of the Bawaslu Chair, the division of supervision areas, and the supervisory division.

In addition, he said, the plenary session will also determine the ways in which the Bawaslu leadership will make decisions for the next five years.

"The principle in running the collegial collective election supervisory body, then the second is that in the future problems, discussions or all debates will be resolved by plenary meetings of decision-making," he said.

In addition, Rahmat Bagja also emphasized that Bawaslu members were open to the information needed to be distributed through the mass media.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated members of the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) for the terms of 2022-2027 at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday. concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the General Election Commission (KPU), and Presidential Decree Number 34P of 2022 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).
