Ministry Of PUPR Hands Over IDR 4.3 Billion Of Assets To North Penajam Paser Regency

PENAJAM - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) handed over several assets in the form of the infrastructure of around IDR 4.3 billion to the North Penajam Paser Regency Government, East Kalimantan.

Acting Regent of North Penajam Paser, Hamdam Pongrewa said the district government received state-owned grant funds in the form of infrastructure from the Ministry of PUPR.

The state-owned grant funds are in the form of road assets, irrigation, and work packages to improve the final waste disposal site in Buluminung Village, North Penajam Paser Regency.

"The district government received the state-owned grants worth IDR 4.3 billion", he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 12.

The North Penajam Paser Regency Government's budget is very limited, he said, it is hoped that assistance from the central government will continue.

North Penajam Paser Regency is part of the State Capital or the new Indonesian IKN called Nusantara, he explained, so the development is for the preparation of the new IKN.

"The limited budget is very difficult to reach all the developments that are expected by the community", he said.

"Development in North Penajam Paser Regency is also in preparation for supporting IKN Nusantara whose population will increase", he added.

State-owned grant funds in the form of infrastructure handed over by the Ministry of PUPR, said Hamdam Pongrewa, can be well optimized to support IKN Nusantara.

Moreover, parts of the North Penajam Paser Regency, namely the Sepaku District, were designated as the core area of the government center or the KIPP for the new capital city of Indonesia.

The Ministry of PUPR handed over state-owned grants of approximately IDR 222 billion to 24 local governments, three foundations, and one university.
