JAKARTA - Member of the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) for the 2022-2027 period, Rahmat Bagja, said that his party wants the General Election Commission (KPU) regulations related to the implementation of the 2024 General Election to be ratified immediately.
This is because Bawaslu needs KPU regulations as the basis for drafting Bawaslu regulations regarding the supervision of the election stages to the prosecution of alleged election violations.
Moreover, the 2024 General Election stage will begin on June 14, 2022. In which, Bawaslu will also begin to oversee the electoral stages.
"Together, we will carry out the entire process of supervising the stages of the general election which will be held in June. We hope that the General Election Commission regulations will be ratified soon, and then after that, we will draw up regulations for the general election supervisory body to oversee the entire process of the stages that will be carried out", said Bagja on the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube video, Tuesday, April 12.
After serving as the organizer of the new period election today, Bagja said that his party would immediately study the entire work of Bawaslu for the 2017-2022 period.
"We will absorb all the processes they have carried out and then together we will plan for the future, how the standard of election supervision is carried out and improved", explained Bagja.
