CENTRAL LOMBOK - Police officers from Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara distribute free takjil (iftar snacks) to the public or motorists who break their fast on the Kota Praya highway.

"This is expected to improve the relationship between the police and the community," said Central Lombok Police Chief, AKBP Hery Indra Cahyono, quoted from his official statement in Praya, Friday, April 8.

He said that the free takjil sharing activity was a form of concern for the big family of the Police for the people who fast during the month of Ramadan 1443 Hijri, especially for those who break their fast on the street.

According to him, the month of Ramadan is a special month, because in addition to getting rewards when carrying out their duties, personnel also get rewards through sharing free takjil for the community.

"Ramadan is a special month. We don't want to miss this momentum to spread goodness," he said, quoted by Antara.

He hopes that the public will not view the takjil in terms of price. However, it is a form of caring and sharing among each other.

In addition to distributing Takjil, the Central Lombok Police Chief together with Head of Traffic and Central Lombok Police Satlantas personnel also gave direct appeals to people who passed by to immediately vaccinate those who have not and continue to apply health protocols so that all are protected from COVID-19.

"The takjil distribution is a form of concern and a form of concern for the Central Lombok Police in implementing the beautiful meaning of sharing when carrying out fasting worship in the Holy Month of Ramadan," he said.

He also continued to appeal to the public to always be orderly traffic and continue to apply health protocols to avoid the transmission of COVID-19.

"We urge residents to continue to wear helmets and wear masks to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus," he said.
