Allegedly Drinking Pest Poison, Mother And 2 Children In Deli Serdang Found Dead

MEDAN - Residents of Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, were shocked by the death of a mother and her 2 twins.

The woman named Rista Damesari Saragih was found dead along with her two children, SLP (4) and SES (4).

Deli Serdang Police Chief Kombes Irsan Sinuhaji said the police were still investigating the deaths of the three. According to him, the three allegedly died from drinking pest poison.

"At the scene of the incident, drinks were found on the bathroom closet in the room and 1 package box was found in the trash with the words, pest medicine/NaCN," said Kombes Irsan, Thursday, April 7.

Currently, the bodies of the three have been taken to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Medan for an autopsy.

"We will carry out an investigation and the investigation will be completed," said Irsan.

From the information obtained, the incident was discovered when witnesses named Rohna Lens and Rasben Saragih returned to their home, Wednesday, April 6, in the afternoon. Upon arrival, the witness knocked on the door of the house and pressed the doorbell but there was no response from the victim.

Suspicious of this, the two witnesses then peeked into the victim's room through the side door of the house. Furthermore, the witness knocked again on the door of the victim's room but there was also no response from the victim.

"Then witness Rasben, who is the victim's father, opened the garage door using his spare key. Then he entered the house and went straight to the room where the incident occurred, but the condition of the room door was locked from the inside," said Kombes Irsan.

Rasben tried to break through the side window with a crowbar. However, upon entering the room, the witness saw the victims lying on the ground.

"Then the family immediately contacted the police," said Irsan.
