As many as 24 foreign workers are under the supervision of the Paser Manpower and Transmigration Office, and every company that has foreign workers is required to pay a levy to the regional treasury.
"In a period of every few months, the Paser Manpower and Transmigration Office actively supervises foreign workers in a number of companies," he said.
Based on the data, most of these foreign workers have middle to upper-status positions, meaning that it is rare for foreign workers to work at the field level.
