JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is optimistic that it can provide a third dose of vaccine or booster (booster) as many as 143,000 doses per day to the public through 335 vaccination outlets during Ramadan 2022 or 1443 Hijriah.

"Starting tomorrow, Monday 4 April, we will carry out a booster vaccination by deploying all Polres and Polsek at 335 points with a daily target of 143,000 doses until later on before Eid Al-Fitr," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran, quoted by Antara, Sunday 3 April.

Fadil hopes that the vaccination program can help the community be safe from the threat of COVID-19 and can be more solemn in carrying out Ramadan worship.

The booster vaccination program is also expected to make it easier for people who want to go home for Eid because one of the conditions for going home that is applied by the government is the obligation to get a third dose of vaccine.

Polda Metro Jaya also provides vaccination outlets in strategic locations such as Gelora Bung Karno, Masjid Al Alim Cilincing, Kaliadem Terminal, Tanah Abang Market, Pasar Senen Train Station, Pulogebang Terminal and Casablanca Mall.

Fadil said that his party chose the location because it was considered strategic and easy to reach by people who wanted to get a COVID-19 booster vaccine.

Another strategy used by Polda Metro Jaya in pursuing this target is administering vaccines at night at community bases such as mosques and RW posts.

"Hopefully people who are fasting can continue to do it healthily and solemnly, then for those who go home later their immunity is high enough so that we can break the chain of the COVID-19 pandemic properly," he said.
