Hundreds Of Residents In Central Jakarta's Kemayoran Flats Enthusiastically Participate In Booster Vaccination

JAKARTA - The government continues to encourage the acceleration of vaccination for the general public, especially booster vaccines as an effort to accelerate the transition from pandemic to endemic. In order to support this program, the Central Jakarta Metro Police together with the Indonesian Roll Former Association (ARFI) opened a Merdeka vaccination center at the Apron Flats (Rusun) Kemayoran for 3 days starting from Tuesday, March 29 to Thursday, March 31.

The Head of Kemayoran Police, Commissioner of Police Ewo Samono also acknowledged the importance of vaccination to revive the nation's economy. For this reason, the government, especially the National Police, is currently working hard to accelerate this vaccination and booster.

Various efforts were made from the top to the bottom. Starting from appeals, picking up the ball to giving gifts so that people's enthusiasm for getting vaccinations increases even more.

"In accordance with the leadership's policy, of course, for the acceleration of vaccines and boosters, the Police also exist quite well. From the level of Headquarters, Regional Police, Resort Police, and Sectoral Police. We at the Sector Police are the spearheads who constantly urge the public to carry out vaccines and do not stop opening vaccination booths in various regions," explained the Head of Kemayoran Police, Commissioner of Police Ewo, Thursday, March 31.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of ARFI, Nicolas Kesuma explained, there are several indicators that a pandemic could become endemic, including increasing community immunity against the virus. In addition, the natural infection rate has decreased so that the number of patients and deaths due to the virus has decreased. According to him, these two conditions can ultimately help accelerate the nation's economic recovery. “This activity is basically a form of our concern from the association to the community. But we also have bigger hopes. We hope that herd immunity will be formed more quickly so that people's productivity will be higher. Simply put, high immunity, high productivity, the economy can quickly rise,” Nicolas said after attending the event, Thursday, March 31.

ARFI as an association that accommodates large companies engaged in the light steel industry, since the beginning of the pandemic has always been present and supported the government to jointly fight the COVID-19 virus, especially against the domino effect it caused. For this reason, all ARFI members are well aware of the importance of vaccination for the recovery of the socio-economic conditions of the affected countries.

“We both know that ARFI members are companies supporting national projects. Product components produced by ARFI members are used in all projects spread across Indonesia. So, by accelerating the booster vaccination, the domino effect will also be felt by all levels of society, because later there will be many parties involved in these projects,” said Nicolas again.

Currently, Nicolas sees signs of economic recovery has begun. One example is the reopening of quarantine gates from abroad and so on. With the new policy from the government, he thinks it will be easier for new investments to enter this country.

“With the opening of this quarantine, it will also make it easier for friends to make new investments. So the international gateway is also very influential because our stakeholders are one world. This means that there are machines that we import from abroad for ARFI members to expand and diversify,” Nicolas said again.
