Attorney General Reminds Staff Not To Hold Joint Iftar To Prevent COVID-19

JAKARTA - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin asked Adhyaksa's staff to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 during the month of Ramadan by not doing activities that can invite crowds and potentially cause the spread of the virus, such as joint iftar (bukber).

In addition, the Attorney General also asked his staff throughout Indonesia not to carry out open house activities and carry out congregational prayers by implementing health protocols.

"The momentum of Ramadan is a month full of blessings in order to be able to do things and activities that are beneficial to others and related to worship," said Burhanuddin in a written statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 31.

This mandate was conveyed by Burhanuddin during a virtual working visit which was attended by the Chairperson of the Prosecutor's Commission Barita Simanjuktak, Deputy Attorney General Sunarta, Deputy Attorney Generals, Head of the Attorney General's Education and Training Agency, and the ranks of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office throughout Indonesia.

In this activity, Burhanuddin also conveyed a special greeting during fasting to all Adhyaksa people and all Indonesian people who will celebrate it.

The event became a virtual gathering place for all Adhyaksa staff and personnel. Burhanuddin also reminded that Ramadan should not slow down the performance of the Prosecutor's Office, especially in relation to public services.

"This holy month is used as a momentum for self-introspection and improving the quality of faith and piety to God Almighty in order to avoid disgraceful acts," said Burhanuddin.

At the end of the event, Burhanuddin greeted all work units and staff throughout Indonesia to ensure that all were in good health and carried out every instruction that had been issued, and reported the results and actions taken as evaluation material and input to the leadership.
