Problem Is Solved, White Mercedes Benz Luxury Car Driver, Mr Dwiyanto, Admits No Intention Of Blocking The Ambulance

TANGERANG – The chaos of the driver of the white Mercedes Benz blocking the ambulance has ended. In the second meeting, as a mediation, Dwiyanto as the driver of a white Mercedes Benz luxury car gave a statement in front of the police and the ambulance driver involved.

Tangerang Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho explained the chronology of the commotion that occurred at the Bitung Toll Road, Tangerang on Saturday, March 12.

"We need to convey, more or less the incident took place on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at approximately 02:00 western Indonesia time, at KM 20-23 on the Bitung Toll Road. It was true that a minor accident occurred between the ambulance driven by brother Hildan and brother Dwiyanto, the driver of a Mercedes Benz.

At that time, an ambulance was passing by carrying a patient who was about to give birth with high blood pressure, namely hypertension, to a hospital in Tangerang City. Then at that location, the ambulance took the right lane at high speed. In front of him was a Mercedes Benz car. Then, at the time of overtaking, at that time the white Mercedes Benz car was still in lane 4. Then when the ambulance took lane 3, at that moment the Mercedes car also took in lane 3. So there was a minor accident, namely a slash which resulted in Mercy's rearview mirror breaking.

Then the ambulance suffered scratches. When we clarified to the Mercy car driver, the person concerned had no intention of obstructing the ambulance. Because at that time in front of Mercy car there was a car also running right in front of it. So Mercy car tried to take a left but he also looked behind him, for fear of an accident. When there is room to take to the left, then the accident occurs. Then it's called an accident, you want to stop first. But the ambulance did not stop, continued to the hospital because it was a matter of life.

Then brother Dwiyanto (the driver of Mercy) followed him all the way to the hospital. So that's when there was a question and answer. Knowing the identity of brother Hildan, the Mercy driver asked for his ID card for further check.

"And today, we bring the two sides back and we let them meet. From the results of an explanation from the police and then from an ambulance, then from Mercy side, Alhamdulillah, both parties solve the problem in a peaceful way and it was enough. So as soon as possible, all parties can continue to do their respective jobs. Because there was nothing from either side that this accident was intentional, nor did it hinder the speed of the vehicle (ambulance),” said Tangerang Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho, explaining the chronological details of the incident to reporters, Wednesday, March 23.

Meanwhile, Dwiyanto as the driver of the white Mercedes Benz revealed that he had no intention of blocking the ambulance.

"Just look at it, there is a car in front of it. When the Mercy car turned left, it was still on the right, it's an Avanza if I'm not mistaken. So it should all go to the left, this is also the car in front of it has not (moved). So (Mercy car) to the left gives way to an ambulance. However, it turned out that the ambulance also took the left, causing an accident,” Dwiyanto told reporters.

The police chief continued that this case did not continue and was resolved amicably.

"We have a family settlement, restorative justice. So we apply it like that, so that both parties have forgiven each other, and we will continue this case with restorative justice,” Zain concluded.
