JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) destroyed 339.97 kg of narcotics evidence of methamphetamine and 16,532 pills of ecstasy from the disclosure of the nine criminal cases of prohibited goods in the period January to February 2022.

"The narcotics evidence was destroyed for the first time this year", he said.

In the first case, based on intelligence deepening, BNN officers confiscated 10,571 grams of crystal methamphetamine from three suspects, namely KA, MN, and AM, in a hospital car park area, M.T. Haryono, Central Balikpapan, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Friday, January 7.

In the second case, 139,389.8 grams of methamphetamine were recorded in the hands of two suspects with the initials AJ and YT in a car in Lubuk Gaung, Dumai, Riau.

From the two of them, the officers obtained evidence in the form of 2 backpacks in which there was gift wrapping paper containing plastic as much as five packs of green Chinese tea packaging containing methamphetamine so that a total of 10 plastic Chinese tea packs containing methamphetamine with a total weight a total of 10,562.6 grams.

From the results of the examination, the two suspects admitted to getting the methamphetamine from a person with the initials EP alias M in an oil palm plantation.

The officers then secured EP alias M by confiscating 120 packs of crystal methamphetamine which were stored in 4 sacks with a total weight of 128,827.2 grams. In the end, the three suspects collected 139,389.8 grams of confiscated methamphetamine.

In the third case, National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia officers confiscated evidence in the form of 36,870.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 16,586 ecstasy pills from two suspects with the initials RS and RA. Both were secured in Lubuk Gaung, Dumai, Riau, on Saturday (8/1).

From the arrest, BNN officers revealed a narcotics syndicate network with the initials A who planned to smuggle narcotics from Pontianak to Banjarmasin.

From the description and results of the checks carried out by officers, three suspects, namely R, R bin M, and J, were arrested in two different places in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Friday, January 14. The total evidence confiscated in this network was 31,632.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

In the fifth case, BNN uncovered 106,312 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The disclosure of this case involved four suspects with the initials B alias B bin BA, F bin MJ, MAA alias S bin A, and J alias N bin MR.

They were identified as a narcotics syndicate network in the Pidie Jaya-Aceh region. The evidence confiscated from this case was 106,312 grams of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in Chinese tea bags hidden in sacks.

The sixth case, he said, was revealed on Friday, January 28, BNN officers arrested two suspects with the initials F alias J and I. Both were secured in different places in North Aceh, Aceh. The confiscated evidence consisted of 9,597.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in Chinese tea packaging.

In the seventh case, BNN revealed that 27.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine were smuggled through a delivery service. After investigating the package, it was discovered that the sender's name and address were fictitious.

Furthermore, based on the results of intelligence investigations, National Narcotics Agency of Republic of Indonesia officers together with DKI Jakarta National Narcotics Agency arrested three suspects, two of whom were targets of pursuit by officers (DPO) in previously disclosed narcotics cases.

The three suspects each had the initials S alias J, H alias I, and YS alias B. The three were arrested in different places in the Bogor area with the amount of evidence in the form of 661.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

In the ninth case, he continued, BNN revealed 5,275 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The disclosure of the case began with the arrest of two suspects with the initials Y alias Yus and MR alias W in Katingan, Central Kalimantan, on Monday, February 21.

From the car he was driving, evidence was found of 5 packs of shabu-shabu weighing 5,275 grams hidden in the door trim. Officers then controlled the shipment and arrested another suspect, namely H alias K in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.
